Golden Retriever Dog

The Golden Retriever dog is a gorgeous, strong, and agile dog with a medium-length, golden-colored coat. They are affectionate, calm, smart dogs with a good tempermant and independent personality.

 

They follow commands and are trained easily. Golden Retriever dogs are temperate with kids and very loyal and eager to please. The Golden Retriever dog breed is spirited, loyal and a good family pet. Golden Retrievers are eager to please their masters, so dog obedience training is rewarding for both the dog an experienced trainer.

 

This breed needs firm and confident pack leader. Be sure to remain consistent to avoid behavioral issues. Some of the Golden Retrievers characteristics and abilities include instintive hunting skills, retrieving small bird game, drug sniffing and performing tricks.

 

These dogs also love water. They require daily vigorous exercise. Give them lots of praise and gentle correction to build confidence and loyalty. The Golden Retriever dog has a has a courageous personality and is easily directed to work.
